Cindependent Film Festival

  • Woodward Theater 1404 Main Street Cincinnati, OH, 45202 United States (map)

The Cindependent Film Festival is presented by the CIFF, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to create a home for independent filmmaking in Cincinnati, Ohio. CIFF strives to bring professional resources to filmmakers so as to cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit of filmmaking.

The Festival will take place at the historic Woodward Theater (originally built to be a silent movie house) and the Mini MicroCinema in Over-the-Rhine. The Festival will feature over 35 hours of screenings, VIP parties and networking opportunities, filmmaker Q&As, live screenplay readings, and a location-scouting event, all while showcasing the work of local, national, and international filmmakers.

As an independent producer and filmmaker, the Festival’s Creative Director Allyson West views this festival as a way to not only bring professional resources to independent artists who may not have access to institutional support, but also an opportunity to develop Cincinnati as a cultural hub and destination for creative pursuits. “Cincinnati is such a beautiful and resourceful city for filmmaking. Our independent filmmakers are more than primed to come together and establish our city as an entrepreneurial hub for on-screen independent stories,” said West. “This truly is the opportune time for our city to grow with these exciting artists we will be showcasing.”

Tickets and festival passes will be available Summer 2018. There will also be free screenings open to the public at the Mini MicroCinema as part of the Festival. To learn more about the Festival and the submission process, visit https://www.cindependentfilmfest.org/.
