An Evening with Nnedi Okorafor

Head to the Main Library for an evening with an award-winning novelist whose imagination the New York Times described as “stunning.” Cincinnati native Nnedi Okorafor writes African-based science fiction, fantasy and magical realism for both children and adults. She is known for weaving African culture and folklore into creative, evocative settings with memorable characters. She also is the author of the Black Panther comics from Marvel Comics and authored a spinoff graphic novel, Wakanda Forever.

An Evening with Nnedi Okorafor begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at the Main Library in the Reading Garden Lounge. A book signing will follow the presentation and books will be available for purchase courtesy of Joseph-Beth Booksellers.

Tickets go on sale on Monday, March 18. Tickets to the presentation are $5 and are limited to 4 tickets per person. This ticket does not include reserved seating. A limited number of tickets are also available for a special pre-event reception. This $100 ticket includes:

Light appetizers and drinks

Reserved seating at the event
