Women's Liberation Workshop

  • pin National Underground Railroad Freedom Center 50 East Freedom Way Cincinnati, OH, 45202 United States (map)

Women's Liberation Workshop (WLW) is an incubator space for collectively conscious women to grow through fitness, entrepreneurship, connectedness, while growing our local economy. WLW will take place at the historical National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in the center of the Cincinnati Music Festival and Vibe Cincinnati festivities. The "interactive" empowerment workshop highlights key elements of feminism by addressing the intersecting oppressions of classism, racism, and sexism.

Our goal is to unify a collective of women by participating in a day of dance, yoga, business and financial panel, and a marketplace full of women owned brands and businesses during the largest multi-cultural tourist weekend in Cincinnati. Guest will receive goodie bags from our sponsors Creme of Nature and Shea Moisture, a soul-food breakfast, health screenings and information provided by our Community Connectors Planned Parenthood and Be the Match, prizes, mimosas and cocktails at Women That Whiskey Bruch sponsored by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, and much more.

The day is full of music provided by award winning Dj Dimepiece, dance routine taught by Lululemon Ambassador, Ashley Jones, R&B Yoga taught by Fran Dantzler, Bosses in Business Panelist Designer Chanel "Shingo" Scales, Curve Model Taylor Long, Author Doshie Piper, Ph.D., Attorney Donyetta Bailey, Marketing Strategist Ray Ball. WLW is more than a one day social gathering, each year, we will continue to connect to the community of women who in history are often overlooked and underrated. Our audience is one of great diversity traveling from throughout the Mid-West and we will create a “Liberating Experience for the Queens in the Queen City.”
