Candidates Forum on Preservation

  • Memorial Hall OTR 1225 Elm Street Cincinnati, OH, 45202 United States (map)

Cincinnati's historic architecture and neighborhoods are among our city's most important and differentiating assets.

That's why our elected officials' perspectives on historic preservation and planning is so important. For the first time, multiple organizations are coming together to host a candidates' forum on preservation for City Council and Mayoral candidates.

Do you love the historic buildings and fabric of Cincinnati's neighborhoods? Did you know that City Council and our Mayor play a big role in decisions about historic districts, appointments to our Historic Conservation Board, new developments in historic neighborhoods, and changes to our preservation policy?

This is a nonpartisan, educational event for voters to hear directly from Cincinnati City Council and mayoral candidates’ views on preservation issues.

Candidates will be invited to meet with audience members at the conclusion of the forum. The candidates will not be endorsed or ranked by preservation views.

Our moderator will be Courtis Fuller of WLWT. And the event will take place in the historic Memorial Hall, a generous host for the event.

Please invite your friends on September 19. Doors open at 6 and the forum will start promptly at 6:30. Free admission, no tickets required, RSVP requested (513-721-4506, info@cincinnatipreservation.org).
