Hear about eight exciting innovative community projects spearheaded by nonprofits from the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area. Learn how teams are using these projects to address complex social challenges. Light bites provided.

Meet the Teams:

  • The Center for Great Neighborhoods: Since 1976, The Center has been strengthening urban neighborhoods in Covington, KY, through innovative programs in the areas of creative placemaking, community organizing, leadership development, housing development, youth engagement, and financial education.
  • Children, Inc. is the largest private non-profit provider of high quality child care in Kentucky. Through direct services, education, advocacy, and collaboration, Children, Inc. is dedicated to creating a world that understands children and their needs.
  • The Point Arc of Northern KY and Greater Cincinnati: Our mission is to provide opportunities topeople with intellectual and developmentaldisabilities to reach their highest potentialeducationally, residentially, socially andvocationally.
  • Education Matters / Community Matters exists to remove barriers for individuals seeking to re-engage in learning, advance their goals, and secure new opportunities.
  • Lincoln Heights CDC: Lincoln Heights Comprehensive Development Corporation (LHCDC) is comprised of individuals with different skills, knowledge, information, power, and time to contribute to the health and wellbeing of the Village of Lincoln Heights.
  • Lydia's House is a home for families experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to provide safe, stable and supportive housing to women and children in crisis.
  • Redemption Development Center is a residential youth center that instructs the male youth to be the solution, no longer the problem.
  • The Welcome Project is a social enterprise that combines a cafe with a boutique to train our newest neighbors in restaurant and store management while bringing new life to the business district of Camp Washington, Cincinnati.

About Studio C:

Studio C is a 12-week social innovation program that offers space, community support and workshops to develop new ideas, policies and collaborations around social issues that organizations face. Studio C connects nonprofits with resources and tools to develop new programs and services in the social sector.

Studio C is presented in partnership between Design Impact and United Way of Greater Cincinnati.
